Sad news - my faithful puss PC has gone to the Rainbow Bridge and joined Isys in cat heaven. We didn't think he'd survive the 4-hour drive when we moved to Reno last spring, but he was stubborn and just kept hanging on, and on, past his 22nd birthday in September. He was old and tired, and now he can rest.

Trisha Strickland of Eau Claire jokes that her family should've named their tabby cat Houdini because he's an escape artist. Simba recently was found in Mega Pick'n Save West on North Clairemont Avenue. I was reading an article about a serial cat killer in Rome - not a heart-warming story - and was amazed to discover that there are dozens of feral cat colonies in Rome, tended by neighborhood cat ladies ("gattare"). A Google search turned up two more interesting pages. One is the web page of a Roman cat sanctuary called Torre Argentina; the other is an old article about Rome and its cats.
